念仏となって　私の口から　現われて下さる　み仏のはたらき

まあ、どこにおっても　お慈悲の中だからのう

如来の願心が　我一人に成就したのが　信心である

The entrusting heart is the realization of the Tathagata’s Wish and aspiration within me.

老いが、病いが、死が　私の生を問いかけている

Old age, illness, and death all pose questions to me about my life.

人間そのものの目ざめを呼びかけるものが　如来の本願である

What calls to us human beings to awaken to our true self is the Tathagata’s Primal Vow.

今日である　あること難き　今日である

This day, the opportunity of which is indeed difficult to have, is today.
